We are looking for a passionate and experienced Technical Designer to work on Hunt: Showdown in our new state-of-the-art office in Frankfurt, Germany. In this role, you act as a bridge between all departments involved in the project and help bring complex, cutting-edge gameplay features to life. You work closely with design, programming, QA, and other teams to ensure features are implemented smoothly and meet both creative and technical goals.
This is a hands-on role. You take ownership of features from concept through implementation and iteration. You are responsible for delivering high-quality gameplay systems and supporting the team with your technical expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of gameplay features from early concept through to polished in-game implementation.
- Design and implement gameplay systems using visual scripting and proprietary tools.
Create and maintain asset databases in CRYENGINE to support the team’s work. - Collaborate closely with design, programming, and QA to build features that meet both creative and technical goals.
- Participate in regular playtests and use feedback to continuously improve your work.
- Iterate on features to achieve a high level of quality, usability, and player experience.
- Work together with other departments to ensure all required resources are aligned and delivered on time.
- Share your technical knowledge and support others on the team when needed.
- Contribute ideas to improve tools, systems, and workflows for everyone.
- Partner with QA to identify, debug, and resolve issues in gameplay systems.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in Technical Design within the game industry or a similar role.
- Strong implementation skills and a solid technical understanding of gameplay systems.
- Experience with (visual) scripting.
- Strong Game Design skills.
- Passion for FPS-Games.
- Experience with AI design.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in documentation.
- Motivation to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.
- Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt, Germany.
Nice to have (not required)
- Strong math skills.
- Knowledge in C++ or other programming languages.
- Experience with live service games.
- Experience with character or art pipelines and workflows.
What you can expect from us
We believe in the value of in-person collaboration while also supporting flexibility. Our hybrid working model includes three days per week in the office and the option to work remotely up to two days per week, unless role-specific requirements or business needs require you to be on site.
