Role Overview

The Technical Designer will be responsible for owning all specifications, grading, and fit sessions, while directly communicating with vendors to ensure accurate execution of corrections at each sample stage. This role will manage construction details and improvements, partnering closely with the design and product development teams to collectively drive decisions that result in high-quality, well-executed products.

Responsibilities

• Lead fit sessions on live models; analyze fit issues and clearly communicate necessary corrections related to fit and balance
• Ensure garments meet established standards and adjust as needed to maintain fit integrity
• Proactively recommend solutions that uphold design intent while improving fit, construction, and overall quality
• Interpret and translate the creative vision (including silhouette, fabric, fit intent, and design details) in alignment with brand and customer expectations
• Possess strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading
• Track and manage workflow to ensure seasonal milestones and deadlines are met
• Contribute to team and departmental initiatives, including standardizing communications and maintaining a fit library
• Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications and construction standards for all products
• Create and review tech packs, ensuring accuracy and completeness for sample development and production
• Partner with vendors and factories to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely delivery of samples and final goods

• Bachelor's Degree in Fashion / Technical Design or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a corporate technical design position(s) and must have experience in women's apparel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with PLM systems ideal, Centric a plus
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical designers, designers, product managers, and production teams to ensure product accuracy and quality
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and collaborate cross-functionally
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills

This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Irvine, California office 

PAY RATE: $80,000/yr-$92,000/yr
