  • Provide expert guidance on theming, custom CSS, layout strategies, and component- and widget-based architectures
  • Own design-driven implementations end-to-end throughout onboarding and the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with Technical Support Engineers, Onboarding Specialists, and Customer Care Agents on complex customer projects
  • Identify technical risks, edge cases, and scalability concerns to prevent recurring issues
  • Lead customer workshops with design, frontend, and technical teams and define implementation roadmaps
  • Collaborate closely with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Frontend Engineers, and Customer Success Managers
  • Bring structured customer feedback into product discussions to influence roadmap priorities and usability improvements
  • Improve internal processes, documentation, and best practices with a focus on quality and efficiency
  • Act as a Staffbase product expert with a strong customer-service mindset

What you need to be successful

  • 3+ years of experience in frontend development, web design, technical consulting, professional services, or equivalent hands-on SaaS experience
  • Degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Web Engineering, or comparable practical background
  • Proven experience working with enterprise customers and cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Success, Consultants, and System Integrators
  • Track record of contributing to or leading complex, deadline-driven technical projects
  • Strategic and execution-focused, able to translate vision into impactful results while thriving in fast-paced SaaS environments with shifting priorities
  • Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in React and modern frontend ecosystems
  • Working knowledge of Tailwind CSS and component-based design systems
  • Confident with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Miro, or similar
  • Strong design sensibility and the ability to solve complex visual and UX challenges across platforms
  • Highly organized, proactive, and quality-driven team player with a curious mindset and a passion for continuous learning and collaboration
  • Deep commitment to Accessibility (WCAG) and usability principles
  • Experience with JSON, XML, and API-driven, data-oriented frontend architectures
  • Business-fluent German and English communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills
