The Role

Job Summary

As a Technical Data Product Manager, you will be working on a team that builds a centralized Enterprise Data Lake and visualizations that open up huge data opportunities to Giant Eagle. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering data-driven products that meet customer needs and drive business outcomes based on priorities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and sales, to create and enhance products that leverage our data capabilities and that will work towards enhancing the experiences of Giant Eagle’s 4M+ customers.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 5 to 10 years Data Product Management
  • Experience Desired: 5+ years in product management, preferably in data-driven products or analytics;
  • Strong understanding of data technologies, tools and methodologies:
  • SQL, Azure Cloud Platform, Data Management(MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Catalog)
  • Relational and non-relational databases
  • Graph Db
  • MVS/C#/.Net Framework
  • Azure Databricks
  • Education Required: Bachelors Degree, Computer Science or related field

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap and adoption plan for data analytics, MDM, data engineering which includes ingestion and data life cycle strategy aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding the organization's product offerings and aligning the business strategy with product development to design innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the data platform and data governance framework.
  • Define data ingestion pipelines and workflow by working across multiple data engineering teams.
  • Define the roadmap for Master Data Management
  • Deliver user stories to help execute the data strategy roadmap.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requested product enhancements from customers, partners and alliances.
  • Support rollout plan for new features/functionality, release updates and execute cross-functional implementation of plan collaborating with product, marketing, sales, alliances, channel, partner and support teams.
  • Articulate customer needs / pain points into meaningful features, user stories / requirements and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Work in a cross-functional capacity through all stages of the product's life cycle including ideation, definition, development, release, and post-release activities.
  • Perform functional validation, documentation and able to communicate clearly with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary contact to engineers, architects, clients and/or partners as required.
  • Participate in the Agile process and ceremonies with the engineering scrum team
  • Participate in projects and performs other duties as assigned.
