Overview

Our consulting client is seeking a Technical Data Project Manager to lead delivery initiatives for a large-scale Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) transformation program. This role will be responsible for driving execution, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and ensuring successful delivery of key project milestones.

The client is modernizing its data ecosystem by transitioning from its existing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment to a new Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). This transformation will enable improved data management, reduce reporting constraints, accelerate data onboarding, and create a more scalable foundation for enterprise data and insights.

The successful candidate will be a strong delivery leader who can take ownership, drive accountability, remove blockers, and ensure teams are aligned and progressing toward key outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage delivery of Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiatives, including modernization and transformation activities from the existing EDW environment.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issue management.

  • Drive execution across technical teams, data teams, business stakeholders, and leadership groups.

  • Ensure teams remain accountable for commitments and deliverables.

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and proactively drive resolution.

  • Facilitate collaboration between data engineering, analytics, architecture, and business teams.

  • Manage complex technical projects involving multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.

  • Provide project reporting, status updates, and delivery insights to leadership.

  • Support successful implementation and adoption of modern data capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale data projects or enterprise data transformation initiatives.

  • Strong background in technical project management within complex technology environments.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-level technology programs.

  • Ability to drive execution, challenge timelines, and ensure teams meet delivery commitments.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with data platforms, analytics environments, reporting ecosystems, or data engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Databricks or modern cloud-based data platforms.

  • Experience delivering Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), data lake, or data modernization initiatives.

  • Experience working with data and insights programs.

  • Experience supporting AI initiatives, including agentic AI / AI-enabled solutions, is an asset.

  • Experience working in large enterprise or consulting environments.
