Job Summary

Are you a technical whiz with a knack for explaining complex concepts clearly and engagingly? Do you love diving deep into new technologies and sharing what you learn with the world? Then we want you on our team!

As a Technical Content Creator at HarperDB, you'll be the voice of our technology, crafting compelling content that educates and inspires developers. You'll explore a single technical concept at a time and produce a variety of content formats to bring it to life. This includes reports, developer guides, blog articles, webinars, explainer videos, and even building example applications.

But you won't just summarize information. You'll be an active learner, diving deep into each topic's intricacies. You'll conduct benchmark tests to showcase HarperDB's capabilities and build real-world applications to illustrate best practices and common pitfalls.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on assigned technical concepts
• Develop a variety of content formats to explain these concepts, including:
  • Reports
  • Developer guides
  • Blog articles
  • Webinars
  • Explainer videos
• Build example applications to showcase best practices and illustrate potential pitfalls.
• Conduct benchmark tests to demonstrate HarperDB's capabilities
• Stay up-to-date on the latest tech trends and advancements
• Collaborate with engineers and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy and effectiveness
• Engage/participate with the tech/developer community on external forums 

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience building enterprise applications.
• At least one year of experience creating technical content for developers, including reports, articles, and videos.
• Must be proficient with JavaScript to build example applications showcasing HarperDB's capabilities.
• Knowledge of both NoSQL and SQL databases
• A creative mind with a knack for storytelling through research and content.
• A strong understanding of development technologies and the trade-offs of various approaches
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-follow manner.
• A curious mind with a passion for exploring new technologies.
• Familiarity with performance benchmarking tools and methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with HarperDB
• Experience with video editing and production
• Experience hosting live events in-person and remote
• Experience designing and conducting performance tests to evaluate technologies
