Leidos Homeland is seeking a highly motivated Technical Consultant supporting the Airports, Borders and Security FBI portfolio. The candidate will provide specialized knowledge to help organizations with technology-related matters. This role serves as a bridge between a company’s specific needs and complex software solutions. They use their expertise to help businesses select, implement, and maintain various technologies effectively. The position identifies opportunities for improvement and proposes solutions that balance cost and efficiency. They work with clients to understand their goals and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring that systems are configured to function correctly. This often involves troubleshooting complex issues and providing clear guidance to users.
This position is on a future contract pending award announcement.
You must be a US citizen with an active TS security clearance to be considered.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess a client’s business needs to translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications.
Design and develop customized technology solutions, proposing specific systems and software to meet client goals.
Oversee the implementation and integration of new technology, ensuring proper configuration and compatibility with existing systems.
Provide direct technical support and troubleshooting to clients for a range of hardware and software issues.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and user manuals.
Collaborate with internal engineering and development teams to ensure the successful deployment of client solutions.
Develop and deliver training workshops for clients and their staff to ensure the effective use of new systems.
Monitor the performance of implemented solutions, recommending and making improvements as needed.
Required Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS or equivalent experience and 8+ years of experience OR Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience with major service providers (i.e: Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, or Google).
Performing research and development efforts or managing programs requiring comprehensive and innovative technical solutions, development and deployment activities on a private/public cloud solution or a comparable high availability environment.
Deploying and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in IT related field preferred.
Experience with SAFe and ITIL.
4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
