The mission of the Technical Communicator is to teach our customers about Metabase in the way that makes the most sense - through videos, tutorials, diagrams, or training. We are looking for someone who loves data, enjoys helping others, and is excited to work for a startup to help our customers get the most out of Metabase.
What you’ll do
- Create tutorials, guides, and videos for Metabase Learn
- Collaborate with our Product and Success Engineering teams to identify training opportunities
- Review and improve documentation to proactively address customer education needs
- Lead educational webinars and workshops
- Design onboarding materials for our customers
About you
- Enjoy helping people and solving their problems
- Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
- Data science or analytics
- Data engineering
- Application development
- Solid understanding of database concepts and data landscape
- 3+ years of experience of developing engaging educational materials for technical audiences in data analytics, data engineering, or related fields
- You are an expert in at least one of:
- Technical writing
- Technical curriculum development
- Creating technical videos
Nice to have
- Knowledge of markdown, HTML, git
- Experience with video editing or graphic design
- Fluency in multiple languages (this is helpful as our users are worldwide)
