Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analystto join our dynamic team at IRS during a period of hypergrowth. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital resource, providing technical expertise and guidance on FedRamp, NIST, and cybersecurity best practices. This role requires a proactive individual who is not only proficient in cybersecurity principles but also comfortable with administrative tasks such as creating presentations, taking notes, and facilitating discussions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on FedRamp, NIST, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with internal teams to assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks, providing recommendations and solutions to enhance security posture.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities, and proposing remediation strategies.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees on security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to cybersecurity processes, procedures, and incident response plans.
  • Facilitation: Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions related to cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring productive collaboration and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Presentation Development: Prepare and deliver presentations on cybersecurity topics to internal teams, executives, and clients as needed.
  • Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, analysis, and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices, and recommend enhancements to existing security measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Atleast 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices, including FedRamp and NIST.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits.
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with incident response and handling security incidents is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a hypergrowth environment, with a proactive and positive attitude towards challenges.

Minimum Eligibility:

  • Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for at least three (3) years, and Federal Tax compliant.
