Are you a business analyst who thrives at the intersection of technology, platforms, and problem-solving? Do you want to contribute to critical Defence projects while developing your expertise in cloud, enterprise platforms, and business architecture? We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to join our Canberra team to support our Defence sector clients. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders, bridging the gap between strategic requirements and technical solutions.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in platform integration, cloud-based product initiatives, business process design, and project support—all while growing your career in a high-performing, supportive team.

Our Architecture & Technology team in the Transformation practice helps our clients to take full advantage of digital capabilities to deliver against their strategic objectives. We work across elements including:
- Enterprise architecture from strategic outcomes to business capabilities, human capital to data assets, design patterns to digital capabilities.
- Design, build, testing and automation of technology solutions from full stack development to engineering of hyperscale platforms (AWS, Azure, Google), enablement of SaaS industry solutions (Salesforce, ServiceNow).
- Development operations from agile ways of working, tooling, AI enablement and environments.
As a permanent member of our team, you’ll have the chance to develop your consulting skills and experience, and advance your career as a trusted advisor to Defence. You’ll also benefit from mentorship by industry leaders, helping you build on your existing expertise.
We are seeking candidates for roles who are at different stages of their consulting career, from Senior Associates through to Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Defence stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyse business and technical requirements.
- Translate requirements into actionable artefacts (e.g., business process models, user stories, workflows).
- Contribute to business and solution architecture design across cloud and enterprise platforms (Google, ServiceNow, SaaS products).
- Provide project support including workshops, reporting, testing, and governance documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and project managers to ensure technical feasibility and delivery alignment.
- Analyse and improve business processes to drive efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
- Support change management and knowledge transfer activities to Defence and internal teams.
We’re looking for adaptable problem-solvers who bring curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly. Ideally, you have:
- 3–7 years in business analysis or technical consulting roles
- Relevant degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related)
- Background in platforms, product implementation, or cloud technologies (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques (process modelling, requirements elicitation, gap analysis.)
- Experience with business/solution architecture concepts.
- Understanding of Defence or Federal Government projects (preferred).
- NV1 or higher Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Certifications CBAP, IIBA, ITIL, Agile BA, TOGAF, ServiceNow, Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). (Desirable).
