As a key member of our IT team, the Technical Business Analyst will help drive the technical evolution and resilience of our Trading and Risk Management System (CTRM).
In addition to managing business functionalities, you will be actively involved in software development, scripting, and system architecture, delivering scalable solutions for our core platform and taking full ownership of the integrations and code, you build. This role requires close collaboration with the CTRM team - particularly the Product Owner and Business Analyst - as well as coordination with broader IT and business teams to continuously enhance the system in support of evolving business needs. You will be part of a team which consists of 18 people with different expertise like CRM, Tallos and Business Analysts.
- Manage and develop scripting for business functionality within the CTRM, ensuring system integrity and operational efficiency.
- Provide functional advice and troubleshooting through design, implementation and testing.
- Handle technical issues related to CTRM that can be resolved in-house, working with the Product Owner and SaaS vendor if external support is required.
- Collaborate as a member of the CTRM Core Team to address system performance, support ongoing issues and enhancements, prioritize urgent matters, and contribute to shaping the future roadmap of both the system and the organization.
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst and business stakeholders and experts from operations, risk, finance and front office to address functional needs, resolve issues, and improve system support.
- Support analysis of business requirements and provide input on feasibility to translate these to technical specifications and system configurations.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering role with a focus on system management and support, including JavaScript scripting abilities.
- Familiarity with system integrations and data flow across platforms, including payments and exchange systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong industry experience and understanding of commodity trading business processes with technical expertise in trading and risk management systems.
Any of these are a plus:
- Familiarity with version control and deployment processes for custom scripts.
- Familiarity with the escalation process and working with external vendors, including coordination with Product Owners.
- Experience with agile methodologies in a technical implementation environment.
