About this opportunity:
With telecom and enterprise networks increasingly converging, this role provides end-to-end expertise across Transmission, IP and service domains, with a focus on Ericsson Autonomous Network Operations (ANO) and automation.
The role ensures visibility across Mobile, Residential and Enterprise networks to accelerate fault isolation, reduce MTTR and improve service stability through proactive and predictive operations.
It also acts as the technical anchor for complex incidents, customer escalations and cross-domain coordination, promoting standardisation and first-time-right delivery.
What you will do:
E2E Service Understanding & Assurance
- Analyse and troubleshoot end-to-end mobile, residential and enterprise service flows across RAN, Transport, Core and IP/MPLS.
- Correlate faults across access, IP and Transmission domains to accelerate RCA and resolution.
Transmission Domain Expertise
- Troubleshoot DWDM/OTN, SDH, Microwave and Ethernet transport networks.
- Resolve link failures, bandwidth constraints, optical impairments and synchronisation issues while maintaining backhaul and aggregation availability.
Service Flow & Customer Impact Analysis
- Assess and map network faults to customer impact across mobile and enterprise services.
- Own VIP and critical customer escalations through service restoration.
Monitoring, KPIs & Tools
- Monitor throughput, latency, packet loss, utilisation and session drops using EMS/NMS, Netcool and performance tools.
- Use alarms, logs, traces and telemetry for fault correlation and deep-dive analysis.
Automation & ANO Enablement
- Drive fault detection, correlation, self-healing and closed-loop automation aligned with ANO principles.
- Support AI/ML-driven insights for proactive operations and reduced manual intervention.
Customer Handling, Governance & Communication
- Lead customer escalations, incident communications, service reviews and RCA forums.
- Present performance and improvement plans clearly to customers and leaders.
- Maintain SLA/KPI alignment and drive continuous service improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Lead major incidents and problem management, coordinating RAN, Core, Enterprise, Field and vendor teams.
- Promote first-time-right resolution, standardised processes and preventive actions.
The skills you bring:
- Strong L2 troubleshooting across multi-vendor DWDM, OTN, SDH, Microwave and Ethernet networks.
- Hands-on SDH (STM-1/4/16/64), DWDM wavelength, cross-connect and optical parameter configuration.
- Knowledge of optical power, OSNR, attenuation, dispersion, protection, fibre and hardware faults.
- Experience with Microwave EMS/NMS, service assurance, fault and performance management tools.
- End-to-end ownership of major incidents, fault isolation, impact analysis, vendor engagement and restoration across 4G/5G and enterprise services.
- Understanding of NOC/MS operations, alarm correlation, approved MOPs, migrations, upgrades, maintenance and change management.
- Preventive maintenance, health checks, RCA, trend analysis and recurring-fault problem management.
- Strong customer, stakeholder, governance, presentation and incident-bridge leadership skills, focused on SLAs and KPIs.
- Experience producing KSS, MOPs and technical documentation, applying ANO and AI-driven automation, prioritising operational workloads, and using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
