About this opportunity:
Join as a Storage Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise storage environments (IBM, Pure Storage, EMC VMAX/PowerMax, HPE 3PAR), SAN fabric (Cisco MDS/Brocade), and backup/recovery (EMC NetWorker/Data Domain), delivering reliable storage services and customer-facing solutions.
What you will do:
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise storage arrays and SAN switches.
- Manage backup and recovery operations, including performing backups and restores.
- Plan capacity and tune performance to meet service levels.
- Implement and manage replication solutions (e.g., SRDF, SnapMirror) and other data-protection features.
- Apply firmware and patch upgrades while minimizing service disruption.
- Troubleshoot storage, SAN, and backup issues and raise OEM support tickets when required.
- Collaborate with IT teams and customers to provision storage and deliver customer-facing solutions.
- Follow change-management processes and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
The skills you bring:
- Hands-on experience with IBM storage (FlashSystem, XIV, Spectrum Scale, DS).
- Experience with Pure Storage FlashArrays.
- Experience with EMC platforms (VMAX/PowerMax, XtremIO, Unity) and/or HPE 3PAR.
- Strong knowledge of SAN fabric technologies, especially Cisco MDS and Brocade.
- Expertise in backup/recovery tools and appliances, notably EMC NetWorker and Data Domain.
- Proven troubleshooting skills, capacity planning, and performance tuning experience.
- Familiarity with replication technologies (SRDF, SnapMirror) and DR practices.
- Experience with firmware/patch management, change control, and raising OEM tickets.
- Clear customer-facing communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
