The job holder is responsible for Providing
analytical, reporting, and strategic support to the Group CFO, enabling focus
on capital, risk, funding, and performance rather than transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Analysis & Insight
• Review Group financial statements, management
accounts, and performance reports prior to the CFO’s review, ensuring
completeness, accuracy, and clarity of key narratives
• Identify financial trends, emerging risks,
variances, and anomalies across business units and provide actionable insights
• Prepare
concise executive briefing notes to support the CFO’s decision-making
• Support
investment appraisals, CAPEX evaluations, and return-on-investment analysis
Reporting & Board Materials
• Coordinate
the preparation and consolidation of monthly Group performance packs across
Matrix subsidiaries.
• Prepare
Board, Executive Committee, and Investor financial presentations in alignment
with the CFO’s expectations
• Track
KPI performance across subsidiaries and ensure alignment with Group financial
objectives
• Strengthen reporting templates, dashboards, and
management reporting frameworks for enhanced decision support
• Ensure
data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all financial reports and
presentations
• Liaise
with Finance teams across subsidiaries to ensure timely submission of reports
and alignment on reporting standards
Treasury & Risk Management
Support
• Monitor
Group cash position, liquidity forecasts, and debt obligations to support
treasury oversight
• Track
FX exposure, loan covenants, and compliance requirements, flagging potential
risks proactively
• Maintain
and update the enterprise risk register, supporting the CFO in ERM reporting
• Follow
up on risk mitigation actions with business units and ensure accountability for
implementation
Strategic & Project Support
• Support
the development of business case models for new initiatives, investments, and
strategic projects
• Review
financial assumptions and project financials across Group initiatives
• Review
financial assumptions and project financials across Group initiatives
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis, and
stress testing to support strategic decisions
• Assist
in the preparation of funding documentation, lender requests, and
investor-related financial information
CFO’s Office Coordination
• Track key finance transformation initiatives and
deadlines within the CFO’s office
• Monitor
and follow up on action points arising from Board/Executive leadership meetings
• Support
cross-subsidiary financial alignment, governance, and standardization of
finance processes
• Act
as a liaison between the CFO and internal stakeholders to ensure timely
execution of finance priorities
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting,
Economics, or a related discipline
• Chartered
Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or actively pursuing CFA is required
• 5-8
years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis
• Experience
in corporate finance, FP&A, strategy, or transaction advisory is preferred.
SKILL REQUIREMENT (ANALYTIC AND
TECHNICAL)
• Strong
financial modelling and analytical capability
• Ability
to summarize complex financial issues clearly for executive decision-making
• Advanced
Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability
to develop financial dashboards (Power BI or similar)
• Comfortable
working with ERP data and large financial datasets
• High
level of business judgement, confidentiality, and initiative
• Prior exposure to Board reporting, executive
presentations, and senior stakeholder engagement will be a strong
advantage.
• Strong
analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
• Ability
to analyse complex financial issues into clear, concise one-page executive
summaries
• High
level of organization, proactiveness, and ability to manage multiple priorities
