The Role
Lead architecture for cloud-native, full-stack enterprise applications. Define microservices, API-first and event-driven patterns; design polyglot database strategies; ensure performance, HA, and disaster recovery; integrate cloud, containerization, CI/CD, and DevOps; monitor systems and mentor engineering teams.
Summary Generated by Built In
Are you passionate about designing scalable, high-performing enterprise systems? Do you have the expertise to architect modern applications and databases across diverse technology stacks?
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Architect to define and drive the architecture of our business-critical platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability and exceptional performance. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and evolution of modern, full-stack enterprise applications (e.g., Java, Angular, React) and polyglot data platforms spanning relational and NoSQL technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
What You'll Do…
- Architect Applications & Solutions: Own the end-to-end architecture of cloud-native, full-stack enterprise applications across modern JVM and JavaScript ecosystems (e.g., Java, Angular, React). Define microservices, API-first, and event-driven architecture patterns, and establish reference architectures and design standards.
- Design Database Architecture: Govern data architecture across relational, distributed, and document-oriented platforms (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB). Drive a polyglot persistence strategy, matching each workload to the right engine, and define scalable data models, partitioning, and indexing strategies.
- Optimize Performance: Tune application code paths, queries, caching, and indexing to enhance performance. Monitor and optimize resource utilization during peak loads, and identify and resolve performance bottlenecks effectively.
- Ensure High Availability: Design replication, clustering, and failover strategies for redundancy across applications and databases. Develop disaster recovery frameworks to safeguard data integrity and keep platforms always on.
- Drive Cloud & DevOps Integration: Champion cloud-based deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure), infrastructure-as-code, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline architecture across engineering teams.
- Monitor, Advise and Enable: Use tools like Grafana and New Relic to track platform health and drive root-cause analyses. Conduct design reviews, define architecture standards, and mentor development teams.
What You’ll Need…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in architecture roles.
- Expertise in designing full-stack enterprise applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Java, Angular, React).
- Strong proficiency across relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Deep understanding of data modeling, distributed systems, and integration patterns (APIs, messaging, event-driven).
- Hands-on experience architecting solutions in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes), and data streaming platforms (Kafka, Spark).
- Scripting and automation knowledge (Python, Java, Ansible).
- Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred.
