Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. People Leadership & Associate Development
Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing global team of T1 and T2 Technical Architects specializing in Azure IS, SAP BTP IS, MuleSoft, Solace, and OpenText.
Drive the professional development of your team by creating robust Individual Development Plans (IDPs), defining technical training paths, and facilitating advanced certifications.
Conduct regular performance reviews, offer structured technical and leadership coaching, and cultivate an inclusive engineering culture aligned with our Five Principles.
Perform resource capacity planning and talent acquisition, managing the mix of internal Associates and external consulting resources to meet enterprise demands.
2. Platform Strategy, Architecture & Technical Governance
Partner with the Global Integration Hub Director to define, refine, and execute the global integration strategy and long-term multi-iPaaS technology roadmap.
Establish and run the Technical Design Authority (TDA) for integration, setting strict design patterns, reusable frameworks, and architectural guardrails for API-led, event-driven, and file-based (B2B EDI) interfaces.
Oversee and align platform-level technical strategies, including:
Azure Integration Services (Azure IS): Orchestrating secure cloud-native pipelines.
SAP BTP Integration Suite (SAP BTP IS): Enforcing "Clean Core" standards and transitioning legacy SAP PI/PO interfaces.
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: Governing global API management, security, and developer portals.
Solace PubSub+: Managing the global real-time event-driven mesh structure.
OpenText: Directing standard EDI/B2B patterns across global logistics networks.
Drive technical platform lifecycles, ensuring proactive upgrades, deprecation of legacy frameworks, and minimal platform-level technical debt.
3. Day-to-Day Technical Operations & Incident Management
Serve as the ultimate engineering escalation point for critical P1/P2 production incidents, platform performance bottlenecks, and security exposures within the Integration Hub.
Maintain absolute visibility into daily platform performance, error rates, and environment health, holding your team accountable for proactive system tuning and optimized configurations.
Direct root-cause analysis (RCA) investigations for major incidents, ensuring long-term technical remediations are fully implemented across platforms to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with DevOps and Platform squads to continuously improve release management, automated CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code deployments.
4. Segment Engagement & Demand Alignment
Build and sustain strong relationships with Segment IT Architects, Solution Architects, and Digital Technologies leads across global business areas.
Serve as a strategic technical advisor during early project discovery phases, converting high-level segment demands into optimal integration architecture recommendations.
Ensure your team of architects is aligned to support segment timelines, validating that segment-led integration builds adhere fully to corporate architecture guidelines.
5. Vendor Relationships, Budgets & Cross-Charges
Manage technical partner relationships with core platform vendors (e.g., Microsoft, SAP, MuleSoft, Solace) to ensure high-quality software support and alignment with their technology roadmaps.
Oversee the technical delivery of strategic platform SI partners and system integration vendors, evaluating contract compliance and technical output.
Collaborate with the Director on budgeting, tracking platform licensing fees, forecasting cloud usage, and coordinating internal cross-charges across segments based on platform resource consumption.
