KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for DB architecture for the tool or product - developing the architecture and design for a set of components of (a) tool/product(s) based on specified implicit and explicit requirements

• Technical architecture responsibility for modelling, design, development, system testing and production support of the solution. Provide technology direction, ensure project implementation compliance, and utilize technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions.

• Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.

• Understands concepts of setting and driving architecture direction. Translate business requirements into system solution design and patterns that enables quality, re-usability, scalability, availability, and maintainability.

• Design strategies for data management/organisation and highly performant data access to large data repositories in mixed technologies (SQL & NO-SQL).

• Drive architecture direction through hands-on implementations. Provide technology expertise to architect, develop, automate, and deploy software solutions, applying a breadth of application, services and integration experience.

• Create and collaborate on technical design documentation, including architectural, data-model and integration designs. Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks, and benefits.

• Participation in all phases of the development lifecycle along with the development teams through technical guidance and hands-on contributions. Resolves day-to-day issues related to strategy implementation. Escalates issues that impact the client and/or strategic initiatives.

• Provide consultation and recommendations for business data needs, value chains, information integration, data quality rules, and data management requirements and/or interfaces during the design and ongoing care of solutions.

DESIRED PROFILE

• Graduate(BE/B.Tech)/Masters(ME/M.Tech/MS) in Computer Science or equivalent from premier institute with minimum 10+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Experience in data modelling and database design.
• In-depth ETL development experience working with any one of the ETL tools like Talend/AWS Glue/Informatica/SSIS using all areas of the environment, including scripting.
• Development experience working with Redshift, Athena, and AWS Data Catalog.
• The candidate must have a demonstrated experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable Data pipeline on cloud (AWS) for big data platforms.
• Experience in working on AWS services like S3, Athena, AWS Glue, AWS Data Catalog and EC2
• Experience in working on AWS IAM to manage access to AWS services and resources and to create cross account roles.
• Should understand network security concepts like creating AWS VPC, subnets, Security Groups, Inbound/Outbound rules.
• Understanding of Messaging queuing service like AWS SQS
• Should have hands on experience on AWS Lambda functions.
• Good to have experience on Databricks & MS Fabric
• Good to have working experience on Azure Platform similar to AWS
• Solid understanding of database design principles.
• The candidate must also have had experience in data warehousing inclusive of dimensional modeling concepts and data lake concepts with practical knowledge of Data Modeling and implementation.
• Experience working with varied forms of data infrastructure inclusive of relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL etc), column-oriented databases (Redshift, Teradata etc) & No SQL databases (Elastic Search, Mongo DB, Cassandra etc) would be good to have.
• Demonstrate proficiency in at least one scripting languages, for example, Python, Scala, Power Shell etc. This would be again good to have.
• Experience in analysing very large real-world datasets and hands-on approach in data analytics will be a plus.
• Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment etc.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
