Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior UI / Full-Stack Sustaining Engineer with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in ReactJS and Node.js. In this role, you will be the core technical escalation point responsible for investigating, debugging, and resolving complex, customer-reported frontend and middleware issues in production environments.
What you will do:
Customer Issue Triage & Root Cause Analysis: Investigate, reproduce, and resolve critical production defects and performance bottlenecks reported by enterprise customers across UI layers and Node.js backends.
Code Remediation & Hotfixing: Author clean, maintainable bug fixes, patches, and hotfixes with minimal turnaround time while ensuring zero regression.
Live Production Debugging: Utilize browser developer tools, network analyzers, APM tracing tools, and server-side log analytics to isolate issues in real time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with core product engineering, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to drive issues to resolution.
Documentation & Prevention: Document Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), author technical troubleshooting runbooks, and provide feedback to core product teams to prevent recurring defects.
Shift Operations: Actively participate in a 24/7 rotational shift model, ensuring SLA compliance for high-priority incidents (Sev-1 / Sev-2).
What we are looking for:
Frontend Mastery: 6+ years of strong experience in ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Context API).
Backend / Middleware: 3+ years of experience with Node.js and Express/NestJS, including RESTful API integration, asynchronous programming, and middleware architectures.
Advanced Debugging: Deep proficiency in Chrome DevTools (Performance, Memory Profiler, Network), React DevTools, and error-tracking tools (Sentry, LogRocket, or Datadog).
Observability & Logging: Hands-on experience querying application logs and metrics using tools such as Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
Version Control & CI/CD: Strong knowledge of Git workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
Qualifications & Shift Requirements:
Experience: 7 to 8 years in frontend/full-stack development or sustaining engineering/L3 support.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
Shift Readiness: Mandatory flexibility to work in a rotating 24/7 shift schedule (including day, swing, night, and weekend shifts).
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with experience writing crisp technical RCAs and communicating with global customer-facing
