As a Technical Application Owner, you play a key role in connecting customer needs, global market requirements and engineering solutions. You ensure that engineering projects meet the needs of customers across different markets and operating conditions in each specific application and use case.
Responsibilities- Define, describe and continuously improve vehicle application profiles, use cases and operating scenarios for relevant markets and customer segments.
- Analyze customer requirements and operational needs in close collaboration with Product Management, Sales organizations and customers.
- Translate application requirements into technical product properties, target values and engineering requirements.
- Define and maintain application roadmaps and support the development of future product concepts.
- Align technical target values for vehicle applications across functions and development projects.
- Provide a first tough assessment for technical feasibility within the respective main modules (cab, chassis, drivetrain and EE) together with the product architecture team.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management and Sales.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive solutions to support future product development.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering or comparable technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle technology and vehicle systems with 8 to 15 year of experience.
- Several years of experience in vehicle development, product engineering or a comparable technical role.
- Experience in gathering, analyzing and describing customer and market requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate customer needs into clear technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional environments.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and concisely to diverse global audiences.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently and effectively in a global engineering environment.
- Open-minded personality with a strong interest in collaborating across cultures and regions.
