The Role
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Objective of Position
- Provide application support and troubleshooting.
- Manage and expand existing accounts.
- Strengthen customer relationships and improve account profitability.
- Deliver first-line service support.
Major Accountabilities
- Ensure all activities comply with quality system requirements.
- Act as Abbott’s trusted partner and advisor for application and scientific support on Clinical Chemistry & Immunochemistry instruments and assays.
- Drive development of base business accounts through post-sales implementation, process optimization, and account management.
- Provide application troubleshooting and scientific support.
- Conduct on-site assay investigations, troubleshooting, and operator training/coaching.
- Prepare and deliver regular customer business reviews.
- Manage routine renewals of base business accounts.
- Support sales expansion of new products and assay menus.
- Implement new instruments and assays through Test of Records (TOR).
- Oversee cross-functional implementation teams post-sale.
- Success is measured by KPIs, resolution rates, customer satisfaction (NPS), profitability, and contract renewal rates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Preferred: Biomedical or laboratory sciences (Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
- Fluency in local language and English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IVD devices or laboratory operations, with emphasis on application support, troubleshooting, and account management.
- Proven track record supported by management and customer references.
- Strong IVD industry knowledge.
- Successful engagement with laboratory staff and stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship-building and solution-selling skills.
- Strong communication and issue-resolution abilities.
- Strategic, customer-centric account focus.
- Willingness to travel frequently (approx. 2 days per week); valid driving license required.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support and expand existing customers.
- Enhance customer relationships and provide first-line service.
