About the role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, OT Processing Systems, the Technical Analyst is responsible for the support, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of Operational Technology (OT) systems that are critical to safe and efficient mining and processing operations.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with technical skills, analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to support and enhance a diverse portfolio of OT technologies across multiple operations. Acting as a bridge between IT and OT environments, the Technical Analyst ensures systems remain secure, reliable, and aligned with operational and business objectives.
Working closely with operations, engineering, and digital teams, the right candidate will contribute to the adoption of OT standards and best practices while supporting innovation, project delivery, and operational excellence within a well-balanced team.

In this role you will:
- Monitor and maintain Operational Technology (OT) systems, including servers, workstations, SCADA platforms, PLCs, HMIs, historians, and industrial control networks
- Ensure high system availability and reliability through proactive maintenance and rapid issue resolution
- Implement, monitor, and maintain OT cybersecurity controls, including vulnerability remediation, access management, system hardening, network segmentation, and security monitoring
- Continuously monitor OT applications, infrastructure, and networks, implementing monitoring, alerting, and optimization initiatives that improve system reliability, availability, performance, and overall system health
- Support OT-related projects, including system upgrades, technology deployments, infrastructure refreshes, capital projects, and evaluation of new technologies
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT, vendors, and project teams to deliver secure and supportable solutions
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, operating procedures, and support records.
- Promote OT standards, governance processes, and best practices across operations
- Support lifecycle management activities including upgrades, obsolescence planning, asset management, and system decommissioning
- Participate in structured change management processes, including risk assessments, testing, implementation planning, go/no-go reviews, and post-change validation
- Provide operational support for a diverse and distributed OT environment, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule supporting critical 24/7 systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience or relevant certifications may be considered
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Technical Analyst, OT Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar technical role
- Practical experience supporting OT systems, including SCADA, PLC, HMI, Data Historians, OT communications and data acquisition platforms, and industrial networking environments
- Experience supporting OT infrastructure and data platforms, including Windows servers, workstations, Active Directory, virtualization, SQL Server, operational databases, and systems used for operational reporting and data collection
- Experience developing and interpreting technical documentation, network diagrams, and system architecture documentation
- Demonstrated diagnostic, methodical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage their own tasks, take initiative, and collaborate effectively across technical and operational teams
- Experience with Rockwell Automation and AVEVA/Wonderware platforms is considered an asset
- Experience with OT cybersecurity principles, including system hardening, network segmentation, vulnerability management, and access control, is considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
Skills Required
