You will:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, including writing technical accounting memos to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate and support the external audit, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing performance feedback, professional development, and leadership.
- Work closely with senior management to analyze financial data and support business decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Support tax preparation and filing in coordination with external tax advisors.
You are:
- A strong analytical thinker and problem-solver.
- Highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
- An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including prior experience in audit.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent proficiency with ERP systems (i.e. NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Active CPA license preferred.
