GLMX is a team of industry experts across finance and technology who value collaboration and creative problem solving. We are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and growing company in our New York City office. This role supports the head of our Finance team and contributes to the success of our global accounting operations in the US, UK, Singapore, and Netherlands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize analytical and math skills to assist the Director of Finance and VP of Finance in various accounting functions including:
- Documenting and updating existing Corporate Accounting Policies
- Preparing technical accounting memos to document significant and/or non-recurring transactions (e.g. ASC606, ASAC842)
- Serving as the primary point of contact for US GAAP accounting standard changes, analyze, and advise on the potential impact to the business
- Coordinating the annual external audits
- Preparing regulatory reports for broker-dealer entity and overseas entities
- Assisting in tax analysis to support global strategies
- Enhancing the current accounting infrastructure to support firm’s growth with a focus on management reporting
- Overseeing monthly financial reporting processes
- Developing and managing financial forecasts and budgets
- Managing payables and receivables, as well as intercompany activity
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance
- CPA certification required
- 4–6 years of experience with financial accounting and reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP and IRFS)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A practical problem-solver; proactive and can learn on the job in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of broker-dealer regulatory issues is a plus
- Will be required to pass FINRA SIE and Series 99 exams; Series 27 registration is optional but recommended.

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $125,000 USD to $150,000 USD, plus a discretionary annual bonus. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
