Are you an accounting professional looking to grow your expertise in financial reporting and technical accounting? We're seeking a Technical Accountant who is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
In this role, you'll play an important part in the monthly close and financial reporting process, supporting accurate financial statements, researching accounting matters, and partnering with experienced accounting professionals. Location: Remote (PST Work Hours)
Compensation Range: $50,000–$75,000. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
What You'll Do- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for assigned accounts.
- Analyze account balances and investigate routine variances and discrepancies.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including external reporting activities.
- Apply accounting policies and procedures to routine and moderately complex transactions.
- Assist with researching accounting guidance and documenting accounting conclusions.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
- Support the preparation of financial reporting schedules and disclosures.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing supporting documentation and responding to requests.
- Maintain organized accounting records and support schedules.
- Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- 1–4 years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting analyses.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment.
