Engineering Services is part of Pendo’s Service team and delivers hands-on-keyboard implementation services to our customers. This includes everything from in-product tagging and advisory services, to the delivery of custom in-product guides and complex, technical integrations through the use of custom code. All engagements sold through (Technical Account Manager(TAM) are paid services engagements that directly contribute to Service revenue.
Role Responsibilities of the Technical Account Manager
An ideal candidate for this role will be an eager and talented individual who is able to quickly learn and understand numerous aspects of the Pendo platform and deliver an engagement that balances custom engineering and value-based consulting to meet customer requirements. This person should:
- Be able to navigate conversations with customers, consulting and delivering to their needs.
- Have strong technical acumen, as well as the ability to create custom frontend solutions
- Be able to to navigate competing priorities across multiple customers
- Be able to learn new technologies quickly, utilizing a core foundation of software knowledge and frontend experience
- Deliver projects on time and communicate about project statuses effectively to customers and internal stakeholders
- Be flexible for technical fields including SE and Technical Support Engineer roles in the startup environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be able to learn new technologies quickly, utilizing a core foundation of software knowledge and frontend experience
- 2+ years of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience
- Basic scripting experience in any language of choice
- Fluent Japanese Speaking, Advanced English language skills both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Professional Services
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
- Technology Integration Engineering and/or Consulting experience
- Soft skills including management of customer expectations (ideally prior experience in Technical Support, Customer Success)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across a SaaS organization
This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week from our Tokyo office.
