We are expanding the team and searching for the next star to become the go-to person driving Technology Strategy initiatives for one of the largest financial services providers in the Nordics. The position as Tech Strategy Manager offers a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful change across If and our Nordic IT organization, while providing an outstanding development platform and opportunities for you at If.

In the role as a Tech Strategy Manager you will help shape and drive the strategic agenda for the Nordic IT organization, gaining broad visibility across the Nordics and direct exposure to senior management forums. You will work with topics such as enterprise-wide platform strategies, AI and data-driven capabilities, cloud modernization, and scaling agile and product-centric ways of working. Your main responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Leading projects and initiatives, ranging from strategic technology assessments and pre-studies to implementation activities across different IT and business units across If

  • Conduct, document, and present analysis for decision-making in key technology initiatives

  • Partner with senior IT and business leaders in shaping strategic technology decisions and ensuring effective execution with clear business impact.

  • Drive technology strategy process for If and our Business Areas through strategic analysis, definition, anchoring, communication, and execution. Addressing questions such as:

    • What new technologies have a potential for If?

    • How could we scale technology capabilities across If?

    • What are the key areas where we can gain efficiency by using shared solutions?

    • What technology-driven changes are needed to improve scalability, efficiency, and customer value creation?

About the team

As a part of the Tech Strategy team you will work across If with the mission of supporting If colleagues by delivering meaningful strategic problem solving with long lasting value. Together we drive selected strategic initiatives throughout the Nordics and Baltics ranging from development of technology strategies to transformation projects spanning across technology and business. Who are you?

We are looking for a person with experience in leading technology initiatives and transformations, who excels at structured problem solving, project management, communication, and stakeholder management. You are self-going, likely have prior experience from project management and facilitating roles, and have a solid background in consulting or technology strategy.

You also have:
  • 3-8 years experience of IT/Technology management consultancy

  • Experience from leading projects with a proven track record

  • A problem solving and analytical mindset with ability to structure, analyse and address complex challenges, including analysing business needs and concluding recommendations on how these needs can be met with a strong financial sense

  • An engaging and responsive social networking style

  • A sense of forward-thinking, vision and drive

  • Technical knowledge with a curious mindset and eagerness to continuously learn

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively (vocally and visually) towards business and IT colleagues, and write and speak English fluently

  • Skills in working with multiple and diverse stakeholders to reconcile differing views into a common agenda, considering multiple perspectives and interests

  • Dedication to build an inspiring work environment

  • It is meritorious if you have experience from the insurance industry and are fluent in other Nordic languages
