As a Tech Risk Assurance Senior Associate in Corporate & Investment Bank, Payments Technology, you will make impactful contributions towards ensuring the firm's technology products and lines of business achieve their objectives while effectively managing risk. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and prioritize technical risk hotspots, evaluate gaps in standards and controls, and develop remediation plans. Your role will involve planning and organizing projects, as well as potentially directing the work of a team, to address complex risk scenarios and ensure compliance with technical standards and organizational policies. Leveraging your advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the proactive identification and evaluation of technology risk, controls development, and adherence across the Firm.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze and prioritize technical risk hotspots by collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging data from Assurance Operations and Data Science teams
- Define the control requirements based on business function, regulatory risks, and control framework comparison analysis
- Evaluate gaps in existing standards and controls, and develop remediation plans to address high-priority risks and systemic issues
- Monitor technology risk, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and industry best practices across the Firm
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and methodologies, while fostering a strong risk culture within the Firm
- Perform analysis and reports against security risks to protect data, applications, and infrastructure using modern tools
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, controls development, or a related field
- Experience in risk management frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, or FFIEC, and their application in a technology risk context. Open to learn Enterprise scale messaging experience in JMS or derived JMS technologies, distributed messaging technology like Kafka and micro-services based highly scalable systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies
- Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy. Knowledge in Risk assessment and mitigation plans.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Java and related technologies is good to have. Banking domain knowledge with a preference for payment systems or treasury products.
- Degree in an engineering or computer science discipline is preferred.
