Email HTML Developer is in the center of email campaign development, turning the creative files into an actual email creative in HTML and FreeMarker languages. It is vital that they are experts in using HTML for email development and the field of email automation, and collaborate well with delivery managers to ensure the accuracy of final deliverables.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop email copies in HTML
Develop email copies in HTML, based on creatives (i.e. Figma) supplied by the marketing team
Work in HTML and FreeMarker directly, or use tools like Knak, Dreamweaver, or other similar internal tools (Google internal solution: Connect Composer)
Ensure adherence to accessibility standards
Maintaining accessibility updates & rendering fixes
Support email template enhancement
Maintain email template library, implement enhancement requests
Proactively identify improvement opportunities
Ensure the accuracy and continuity of existing and newly created programs
Collaborate with teammates to continuously optimize output and program performance
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience with email development in HTML and/or CSS experience (develop the HTML code from scratch)
3+ years experience with various email technology tools
3+ years experience in marketing automation tools such as Eloqua, Marketo, Marketing Cloud, etc.
Proficient in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, Java, and template engines (e.g. FreeMarker)
Certified in marketing automation tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Photoshop / Figma or other design tools is a plus
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Familiarity using GenAI (generative AI) for email marketing development and optimization
