We are looking for a Tech Lead for the Product Development department at Sartorius Helsinki. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed to specification, within an established development time frame and budget. You will enable and foster close collaboration within the project team and represent the product development teams of the project.
The Product Development team in Helsinki consists of about 25 professionals but we are an international team working in a project organization with colleagues for example from Germany and US. We are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This is a fulltime role, and we work in a hybrid model, 2-3 days / week from the office.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
- Lead local and international project teams to define and engineer the system design for new products.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization ensuring the information flow.
- Manage the product documentation, product risks and the design verification and validation.
- Manage project related Product Development resource plans and costs.
- Hold regular technical team meetings to monitor progress and address challenges regarding the project during the development phase.
- Ensure that producibility and testability of product and parts are possible.
- Represent a technical discipline depending on your background, e.g. mechanical design, electromechanical systems or material science.
What will convince us
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field.
- Technical competence in an applicable field i.e., several years of experience in mechanical or technological product development in a leadership or senior technical role.
- Experience with the product development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Experience with product compliance, regulatory standards and ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and proven ability to develop solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to collaborate across the sites.
- Ability to mentor and guide team members.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to present project statuses and technical information to management and stakeholders effectively.
- Fluency in English, both written and oral. Finnish/German skills considered to be an advantage.
- Experience in liquid handling is beneficial.
