We are looking for you, if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Python, including:
- In-depth knowledge of Python mechanisms and libraries
- Experience in scripting and development
- Have a proven track record in writing unit and integration tests (test-driven development preferred)
- Have experience with REST APIs, including the ability to create clients and servers
- Have a solid understanding of programming techniques (patterns, refactoring techniques, testing, and programming paradigms)
- Have experience in independently designing and implementing CI/CD tools (Preferred Azure DevOps)
- Can provide complex analysis for creating development goals, including:
- Technology recognition
- Risk analysis
- Are enthusiastic and able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
You'll get extra points for:
- Knowledge of Model C4 in Software Architecture
- Knowledge in .Net and related frameworks
- Interest in Disaster Recovery
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript
- Familiarity with FastAPI
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated tests using Python
- Platform engineering and full-stack experience (DevOps)
- Good understanding of the Linux operating system and container technologies
Your responsibilities:
- leading the application development team,
- designing and analysing new features together with the team,
- overseeing application monitoring, support, and contributing to refinements,
- participating in meetings (Scrum events), daily operations, and application monitoring.
Information about the squad:
Our team is focused on developing an application suite for IT Continuity processes especially Disaster Recovery automation. We deliver our product to one of the biggest markets at ING Group, with the goal of becoming a global solution. Our product is Python-based, hosted on ING Private Cloud, and we work with Agile/Scrum methodology. We are looking for a Tech Lead who is technically passionate, solution-focused, and able to contribute to the design and development of our system. You will be responsible for implementing new solutions within our product to make our application more scalable. The team is located in Katowice, Poland, and we prefer a hybrid work mode.
The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer IV”.
