General Summary
The Tech & Business Operations Recruiter works closely with hiring managers in LAIKA’s business operations departments to source, identify, interview, and select qualified candidates to join LAIKA’s team for production and non-production positions.
Job Functions
- Partner with hiring managers across the Business Operations organization to discuss current and forecasted hiring needs and prioritize as necessary.
- Effectively manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned open positions for each candidate as they move through the hiring process, including screening of resumes/portfolios, preliminary screens, managing interviews, reference checks, and final offer.
- Attract and find highly skilled talent for Technology group and all Business Operations positions, using a variety of recruiting methods to source candidates.
- Maintain positive relationships with candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process, and stay in touch with internal talent through check-ins, career chats, and portfolio reviews.
- Stay current on internal talent pool and actively consider lateral moves and promotions as part of hiring strategy including consideration for training options in proposals for hiring managers.
- Track, report, and analyze recruiting effectiveness and accomplishments of meeting hiring manager recruiting needs, and make suggestions to solve potential issues in a timely manner.
- Attend conventions, conferences, festivals, job fairs, associations, organizations, universities and colleges as necessary for the hiring needs to provide visibility to the studio and create a pipeline of candidates for full time, freelance, and internship positions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience; previous experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
- Ability to handle high recruiting volumes based on Business Operations and Production needs.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and hiring talent for technology teams.
- Ability to lead meetings, including setting up and managing computer software to showcase candidate reels, resumes, and websites.
- Excellent communication skills with candidates, internal clients (hiring managers), support staff, and external clients.
- Strong negotiation, analytical/research, time management, and organizational skills. '
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Trained in interviewing techniques, preferably behavioral Interviewing.
- Expert skills in web searches and demonstrated ability of using social media to source and recruit talent; LinkedIn Recruiter Certification preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Previous experience with Greenhouse Recruiting a plus.

On-site in Hillsboro, OR, and also eligible for hybrid work.
