What will you be doing?  

The production of corrugated cardboard and its processing into packaging is a very specific process. The start of this process begins with our corrugated cardboard machine, where cardboard sheets are produced. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Processing department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting them. And all of this, of course, according to specific designs, qualities, and sizes that are unique to each customer. 

As a Production Team Leader for the Corrugated Cardboard Machine (GKM), you ensure the best team performance and act as the point of contact for the team. The main goal is to achieve the maximum machine output according to the schedule together with your team of ± 18 employees. Safety, quality, and expertise are the driving pillars. You are responsible for various parts of the production process, which consists of multiple components within 2 corrugated cardboard machines. Additionally, you remain alert to opportunities to optimize the process and provide improvement proposals to ensure we produce the best packaging. The Corrugated Cardboard Machine department operates in a 3-shift system. 

Other tasks within your responsibilities include: 

  • Safety is our top priority, always ensuring the physical and mental safety of the production team;
  • Ensuring qualitative and quantitative operational availability and deployment of the production team; 
  • Responsible for performance appraisals and performance reviews, conducting recruitment and selection interviews, and managing absenteeism; 
  • Coaching, motivating, and supervising employees; 
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems, as well as other company and safety regulations; 
  • Monitoring the quality of produced products according to specifications and quality assurance procedures; 
  • Taking responsibility for thorough handling and analysis of production complaints, taking preventive measures, and providing appropriate information and instructions to employees; 
  • Monitoring, steering, and reporting on agreed KPIs, including safety, quality, yield, efficiency, waste, and absenteeism; 
  • Ensuring the correct technical availability of machines and associated equipment and installations; 
  • Making improvement proposals for the production process in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and labor efficiency; 
  • Ensuring proper shift handover.

  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages; 
  • You are a team player with a great deal of enthusiasm; 
  • You are flexible regarding working hours; 
  • Your willing to work in a 3-shift system;
  • Experience with reporting based on OEE.

  • A salary starting from €4000, - gross per month based on a 40-hour workweek; 
  • 20% shift allowance for working in 3 shifts;

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
