As a Data Management Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the data management operations within our organization. Your role will involve leading a team of data management professionals, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets, and implementing best practices for data management processes. You will collaborate closely with other teams to support data-driven decision-making and drive improvements in data quality and efficiency.
Roles and Responsibilities
- · Lead and manage a team of data management professionals and data engineers.
- · Implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of our data assets.
- · Define data standards and guidelines and ensure all SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
- · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs.
- · Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of databases and data warehouses ensuring timely delivery of work for the clients.
- · Monitor and evaluate data quality and consistency, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
- · Implement data governance processes to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- · Provide leadership and guidance on data-related projects, including data migration, integration, and analytics initiatives.
- · Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- · Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data management and recommend opportunities for innovation and optimization.
Qualifications
- · Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- · Proven experience of 5-7 in data management with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, with a track record of leadership and project management.
- · Strong understanding of data management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- · Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., ETL, SQL, SSIS, Python) and data management /warehousing concepts.
- · Experience with data modeling, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- · Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
- · Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- · Familiarity with data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
- · Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
