Team Leader of Software Development

We're seeking a collaborative and technically strong Software Development Team Lead to lead a team of developers within our TechOps organization. This role blends people leadership with hands-on technical guidance, focusing on mentoring developers, driving architectural decisions, and delivering high-quality software solutions that support critical business operations.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software developers.
- Guide software projects through design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Drive architectural decisions and promote scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Champion coding standards, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
- Partner with business stakeholders, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Support Agile delivery through sprint planning, prioritization, and team coordination.
- Provide performance coaching, career development support, and hiring assistance.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience, including architecture and solution design.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or managing software developers.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- C#
- .NET
- Python
- React
- Node.js
- Azure
- GitHub
- Azure DevOps
- Experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience leveraging generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
At CSC, compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $109,961.10 to $144,906.88

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7-10 years of software development and architecture experience.
- Experience with C#, Python, .NET Desktop Applications, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with GitHub, Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Boards, and GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring early-career software developers.
- Experience using generative AI in development (planning, design, coding, testing, documentation).
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (Azure DevOps Boards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and adherence to coding best practices.
