The Team Lead Engineering and Project Execution will be responsible for ensuring that the systems are designed, built and tested as per requirements of customer in compliance with relevant regulations.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Designing the system as per process requirements, which includes line sizing, component selection, Preparation of data sheets for Agitators, Heat Exchangers, Filter Housings, Thermosyphon etc.,
Designing the Utility consumption for the systems
Plan technical and commercial quotations including technical description/specification
Develop documents and quotation attachments (e.g. Piping and Instrument Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, time schedule)
Communicate during technical and commercial customer meetings/contractual negotiations
Develop concept and basic design according to company standards and guidelines
Monitor the project execution (e.g. lead engineer, system engineer) including time, budget and resource management
Review and approve process design documents
Monitor on-time and target-oriented processing after assignment of work packages
Communicate internally and externally within the area of responsibility
Ensure process consultancy support of Factory Acceptance Test/ Site Acceptance Test activities
Qualification & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
Minimum 6 Years of experience in relevant business area and experience of team management
Previous Process Engineering experience within biotechnology industry ideally Bioreactors, Fermenters, Crossflow systems & chromatography.
Understanding of downstream and upstream processes would be helpful.
Experience in designing of process & utilities – Preparation of PFD’s, P&ID’s, equipment sizing calculations
Good abilities of customer processes
Good Communication and analytical Skills
Proven software skills, e.g. SAP-PS, MS Visio
Leadership | Management:
Allocation of staff to customer requests, orders incl. capacity planning
Vacation planning incl. nomination of deputies and handover
Team development and change management
Definition of goals and tasks in alignment with global strategy
Management / involvement in global internal projects
Analysis of actual team performance (KPI) and continuous improvement of workflows and working methods/tool landscape
Active feedback on product lifecycle improvements and change management
Collaboration with internal projects
