Job Description
- Assists the Department Supervisors in maximizing productivity and employee morale ensuring service levels are achieved.
- Responsible for monitoring staff so that all shift distribution duties are completed.
- Make Supervisor aware of any employee relation or attendance matters.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise
- Monitor work activity within assigned area
- Verifies and creates paperwork for E-Com operations
- Resolves problems with orders
- Assist the Logistics Supervisor in developing operational plans on a daily and weekly basis
- Responsible for helping to ensure a safe, positive and productive work environment
- Maintain professional daily interaction with all levels and departments throughout the organization
- Raise employee concerns to the Supervisor.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years distribution experience
- Ability to function effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
- WMS systems experience, Red Prairie preferred
- Proven leadership skills including the ability to coach, train, motivate, and empower associates
- High ethical standards, demonstrated strong integrity
- Models and supports organization’s goals and values
- Demonstrated leadership by example, proven and work ethic
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-orientated with a drive for quality and accuracy
- Ability to stand and bend down for continuous periods of time, frequently lift up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 85lbs.
