Team Lead - Quality Control

Position Summary:

The Team Lead is responsible for leading and assisting quality inspections and package testing on in-process materials and finished products. This effort includes, but is not limited to, accurately completing all documentation and complies with applicable FDA, state, OSHA, AATB, and ISO regulations and standards.  This individual works with the entire department and other department heads to ensure are parts and inspected correctly up to company and FDA, state, OSHA, AATB, and ISO regulations and standards.

Essential Functions:

• Performs inspections of implants and instruments production assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to specifications

• Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, production traveler, work instruction, process specifications, and sketches at the direction of supervisor in completing a variety of inspection tasks

• Verifies inspection equipment, machinery and tools used are calibrated per company policy

• Notifies the operator when a non-conformance is found

• Brings problems/issues to attention of Manufacturing Area Supervisor

• Works efficiently to achieve targeted goals as set by the production schedule

• Performs other duties as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company

• Learns Good Manufacturing Practices and inspection techniques

• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

• Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

• Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of one (3) years’ minimum and three (5) years preferred experience with quality control inspections

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong clerical and math skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings for medical devices, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Automated inspection system experience

• Familiarity with GMP and SOP’s to ISO standards is a plus

• Ability to use standard measuring equipment (i.e. Micrometers, Calipers, Height Gages, profilometer, ring, plug and thread, go no/go gages, dial indicator, surface plate, gage blocks and torque wrench)

• Team player, open to new ideas and team work, self-motivated individual, willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value

• Strong organizational, problem solving, and follow-up skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail

• Proficient in Windows, MS Office, especially MS Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail

• Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
