Team Lead, Quality Assurance

We are looking for a Team Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in India. This is an amazing opportunity to work on different projects with our QA team, which has various competencies to compete and learn together. We have a great skill set in the team related to Manual Testing, Test Automation, Performance Testing, DevOps, Accessibility Testing, and Security Testing. We need someone experienced in both Automation and Manual testing, covering Application UI, Services, and Data. Ideally, you should have a strong background in writing Automation tests using Java and TypeScript.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or master’s degree (BE, ME, B Tech, MTech, MCA, MS)
• At least 8 years of demonstrable experience in Test Automation, UI, API automation, Performance Engineering, and Accessibility Testing
• At least 5 years for experience in Test Automation: Strong coding & debugging skills in tools and technologies like Java, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Rest Assured, Robot Framework, etc. Preferable experience in JavaScript-based tools, Playwright
• At least 5 years for experience in Performance Engineering: Strong experience in performance engineering, including hands-on with at least one tool (Netload, JMeter, or LoadRunner) along with a very good understanding of browser-side performance testing tools and analyzing skills
• Accessibility Testing: Good to have skills for accessibility engineering of enterprise products, including WCAG and 508 guidelines. Have worked on any one of the tools like WAVE, AXE, SiteImprove, AChecker, etc., and can automate other open-source tools for accessibility
• Clear understanding of the testing pyramid, understanding of functional and non-functional aspects of testing
• Designing the architecture of test automation frameworks and implementing the framework in new projects after analyzing the best test automation tool and technology
• Have worked and significantly contributed to automation using CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins
• Demonstrable work done in product development & dev in test with teams spread across different locations worldwide
• Good working experience with GIT, Jenkins, Bitbucket, JIRA, etc.
• Working familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
• Should be able to mentor and assist junior team members & ramp-up new joiners
• Clear understanding of Agile & Kanban development approaches
• Familiarity with working with test and defect management tools like Zephyr, Testrail
• Demonstrable work done in product development & quality with teams spread across different locations worldwide

It would be great if you also had:

• Experience in an Agile environment
• A proactive approach to learning new skills
• Experience with Browser Developer tools
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch/MongoDB/NoSQL querying

What will you be doing in this role?

• This is an 80% coding and 20% people management role
• Design, implement, and execute automated tests
• Debug, fix, and optimize existing automated tests
• Maintain manual test scripts as needed using the Zephyr tool in JIRA
• Utilize bug tracking and report generating tools
• Communicate test progress, results, and other relevant information to leadership and stakeholders
• Configure regression frameworks to run against different instances
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product, and Project Management
