Job Description

The Americas Marketing team is seeking a highly strategic and proactive Team Lead for the Product Marketing team.

The Team Lead, Product Marketing will spearhead the prioritization, planning, and execution of B2B marketing initiatives for our products, solutions and services. The ideal candidate has a proven track record to drive market success for IT products, software, and/or services with various stakeholders and sales channels. You will play a critical role in leading & inspiring the team to define our value proposition, plan impactful go-to-market strategies, and ensure our communicated product positioning is differentiated, clear, and defensible.

What you’ll do here as Team Lead, Product Marketing?

• Lead and manage a team of product marketers, providing them with ongoing guidance, mentorship, and feedback.

• Create, convey, and execute team-wide strategies designed to generate awareness and demand for Axis products, solutions, and services.

• Collaborate with product management, sales, global marketing, and other customer-facing teams to understand market needs and develop impactful product marketing launches and campaigns.

• Continuously measure ROI of product marketing initiatives in order to enhance the team’s contribution to both regional and corporate business goals.

• Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and industry trends to make data driven decisions around product strategies, resources, and investments.

• Coach your team to grow their professional competencies, building their skills to meet current and future business needs.

• Ensure internal stakeholders are equipped with the content, messaging, and tools they need to be successful supporting product launches and campaigns.

• Become a subject matter expert of your owned areas of the portfolio and use that expertise to design thoughtful product messaging, positioning, and promotional efforts.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

• The ability to strategize, plan, execute, and prioritize detailed marketing initiatives across the entire Axis product and solution portfolio.

• Proven coaching abilities coupled with the desire to constantly develop the team members.

• High level of emotional intelligence, including demonstrated self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, empathy, and motivation.

• Strong teamwork, relationship-building, and influencing skills with ability to work with colleagues that have various skills, backgrounds, and working styles across multiple departments and geographies.

• Gifted communication skills with the ability to balance openness, honesty, and professionalism.

• Broad understanding of the marketing skills needed to be successful within a product marketing role, such as solution selling, storytelling, writing, campaigning, strategic thinking, attention to detail, project management, communication, influencing, teamwork, and more.

• Demonstrated competency in the different expectations of leaders, including:

  • Business Leadership (Strategic Thinking and Implementation, Business Acumen, Leading Change)

  • People Leadership (Developing Self, Developing Others, Building Functional Strength)

  • Organizational Leadership (Developing Team, Enabling Cooperation, Ethical Leadership)

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or related field.

• 8+ years marketing experience in a B2B environment.

• Experience managing or leading other team members.

• Prefer product marketing experience within a channel sales model.

• Prefer IT industry, and/or security industry experience.

• Knowledge and experience of key platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot (marketing automation), etc.

• Occasionally required to lift 20-25 lbs.

• Travel up to 10-15%.

Target Salary:

The approximate pay range is $110,000 - 115,000 (OTE). Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
