The Role

Come and join the Handtools BU and make the difference and impact on our fast growing business. With leading positions in many European markets, Gardena Handtools covers products for cutting, stick-tools as well as garden accessories used in the domestic gardens. As Teamlead (m/f/d) Product Management Handtools, you and the team will drive the product-portofolio strategy for the Business Unit Handtools. You will lead a team of talented product managers, ensuring that our products meet market/channel needs and exceed customer expectations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a good mix of Product and Go to market passion, exceptional leadership skills and a track record of successful international product launches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers to achieve their full potential and deliver outstanding results.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the BU Handtools vision and goals.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Portfolio management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch till phase out, covering all our country and channel requirements.
  • Creation of business and product generation plans for strategic at country and channel level.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, brand and sales, operations, to ensure alignment and successful product execution.
  • Consumer Focus: Advocate for the customer by incorporating feedback and insights into product enhancements and new features.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success from a topline but as well profitability point of view,
  • Drive continuous process improvement, to free up time on what really matters.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Several working experience in product management in durable goods and/or FMCG. In addition to that several working experience in a leadership role is a must.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, international experience and proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product management tools and methodologies, on pricing, new product development
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems, driving innovative solutions.
  • Consumer-Centric: Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Languages skills: Business fluent in German and English bonus would be French
  • Willingness to travel to our markets or visiting our factories/suppliers.
