About the role

As our Team Lead Finance, you will be at the heart of our financial strategy and operations. You’ll lead a small finance team, scale efficient financial processes, and work closely with our leadership team to drive sustainable growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys both hands-on execution and strategic planning.

Your Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy & planning: Develop and execute financial strategies to support our growth and scalability.
• Financial operations & controlling: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Accounting & compliance: Ensure accurate financial records, manage audits, and ensure tax and regulatory compliance (IFRS/HGB).
• Investor & stakeholder relations: Provide key financial insights to investors, executives, and external stakeholders.
• Scaling financial processes: Optimize and automate financial workflows using well known financial SaaS tools.
• Legal operations: Oversee contract management, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and collaborate with legal counsel on key business agreements.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with our Go-to-market, Operations and R&D teams to drive financial efficiency and profitability.

Your Profile

• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance, controlling, and/or financial modelling, ideally in a high-growth SaaS, tech startup/scale-up or VC environment.
• Leadership: Ideally proven ability to lead and develop finance teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial modeling, cash flow management, and ideally SaaS metrics (ARR, LTV, CAC).
• Tech-savvy: Experience with financial tools like QuickBooks, Xero, Datev, Netsuite, or similar.
• Analytical mindset: Ability to translate complex financial data into strategic business insights.
• Hands-on mentality: Willingness to get into the details while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
• Languages: Fluent in both German and English.
• Location: Based in or around Munich
