Team Lead – Embedded Toolkits
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Team Lead in Embedded Software Engineering to join our Digital & Platform Technologies organization. In this role, you will lead a talented team developing embedded software solutions for internal stakeholders and external partners, driving innovation and excellence in a global environment. You will report to: SENIOR MANAGER, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT and have a hybrid schedule working in Prague, Czechia.
Your responsibilities:- Lead and inspire a team of software engineers working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to deliver high-quality embedded software.
- Hire, onboard, and develop talent, fostering career growth through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback.
- Drive strategy execution by collaborating across global teams (including sites in the USA, Poland, and more) and leveraging strong internal and external relationships.
- Champion organizational effectiveness by setting objectives, measuring progress, and implementing improvements.
- Facilitate communication through meetings, presentations, and team discussions to align on goals and project status.
- Manage risks proactively, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Build product knowledge to support your team in delivering innovative solutions.
- Accelerate time-to-market for our products by improving processes and team performance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and hold teams accountable for results.
- High emotional intelligence and resilience; able to navigate challenges with urgency and focus.
- Ability to promote collaboration and innovation within a diverse team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Legal authorization to work in the EU.
- Fluent in Czech and English.
- 2+ years of experience in software development environments using agile practices.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts and foster a positive, inclusive work culture.
- Experience in a large global organization.
- Previous leadership or management experience.
