We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Team Lead to join our AMER team and guide a group of talented Cloud Platform Engineers. The team delivers high-quality Professional Services to Service Providers and Enterprise users, specializing in Acronis' backup, disaster recovery, storage, file sync and share, monitoring, and other data protection solutions. This role combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities to maintain and enhance existing processes while overseeing and organizing datacenter operations.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in DevOps principles, a strong track record of managing distributed teams, and a proactive approach to process maintenance and evolution
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Platform Engineers to achieve organizational objectives.
- Cultivate a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching, feedback, and career guidance.
- Process Maintenance and Evolution:
- Sustain and optimize existing Scrum-based processes to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to meet future business and technical needs.
- Drive initiatives to enhance team efficiency, predictability, and productivity.
- Align process development with organizational goals and technological advancements.
- Datacenter Operations:
- Organize and oversee datacenter operations to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
- Ensure seamless operation of infrastructure hosted in datacenters.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize hardware utilization and system performance.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems for datacenter resources.
- Technical Oversight and Collaboration:
- Oversee the implementation of "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices.
- Guide the development of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Ensure the reliability and high availability of production systems.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical objectives with broader business goals.
- Incident Management and Support:
- Provide guidance and support during incident resolution, including on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Ensure lessons learned from incidents contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Technical Expertise:
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps/SRE engineering role.
- Strong expertise in Linux system administration and scripting (Python, Bash, or Groovy).
- Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and principles of Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as NGINX, DNS, DHCP, PXE, firewalls, and NAT.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and containerization technologies.
- Leadership and Management Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience managing SRE, Support, or Operations teams, including distributed and remote teams.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and align diverse teams around shared goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level or higher.
- Process Management:
- Experience maintaining and evolving established Scrum processes.
- Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements.
- Knowledge of Agile principles and related methodologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification in DevOps, Agile, or related fields.
- Experience with Acronis solutions or similar products.
- Proven track record in overseeing datacenter operations and managing complex technical environments.
