We are looking for a Team Lead Accounts Receivable (all genders) for our Finance team in the heart of buzzing Berlin!
You will:
- Lead and develop a team of 5 employees in accounts receivable.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities in accounts receivable.
- Prepare, analyze, and record the revenues of the Babbel Group based on payment provider statements, external reports, or internal data.
- Act as the internal stakeholder for the continuous development of our data streams to ensure they provide a valid basis for accounting.
- Monitor the B2B invoicing process and prepare and record outgoing invoices in the ERP system.
- Develop solutions for the accounting of new revenue streams and stay updated on changes in legislation.
- Serve as the main point of contact for colleagues from other departments regarding technical questions related to the group’s revenues.
- Actively contribute to the automation of our processes and share responsibility for maintaining and clarifying accounts receivable.
- Take ownership of various projects, such as the implementation of ERP solutions for accurate revenue recognition.
You have
- A completed commercial education; a qualification as a financial accountant or tax specialist is a plus.
- At least 4+ years of professional experience in accounts receivable according to HGB and IFRS, complemented by solid knowledge of German VAT regulations.
- Experience in leading a team and managing the accounting of B2B and B2C transactions.
- Ideally, experience with revenue recognition through internal data streams and/or in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sector.
- A communicative, independent, and meticulous work style, especially in delivering results on time.
- Proficiency in at least one ERP system (e.g., Workday) and strong MS Excel skills.
- Communication skills in both German and English.
