The Role

Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business is searching for a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by attending class during the first week of the semester to meet students and become familiar with course content.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Update Canvas modules as needed.
  • Check weekly assignments for completion only: in-class exercises, assignment drafts and peer reviews; keep Canvas gradebook updated.
  • Provide rubric assessments and concrete feedback on group work and project presentations for students.
  • Consult with the instructor to establish grading and feedback expectations.
  • Support the instructor in facilitating in-class group work.
  • Respond to student emails and meet one-on-one with students as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MS degree with focus on product management coursework and/or MSPM strongly preferred
  • Teaching and/or coaching experience preferred.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered
