Position Summary

CAS is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our Technology Talent Acceleration Program (TechTAP) beginning in July of 2027.

TechTAP is a premier early-career development program designed for ambitious technologists who are passionate about building innovative solutions and growing into future technology leaders. Participants gain hands-on experience delivering meaningful business impact while accelerating their technical, leadership, and professional development.

Through rotational assignments and immersive project experiences, participants will explore multiple technology disciplines. Some examples of rotational assignments include:

  • Software Engineering and Application Development
  • Data Engineering and Big Data Solutions
  • Information Security and Cybersecurity
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineering
  • Business Technology and Enterprise Solutions

Working alongside experienced mentors and leaders, participants will contribute to high-visibility initiatives, present to senior leadership, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a fast-paced technology organization.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
  • 24 months or fewer of professional technology-related work experience.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated passion for technology, innovation, and leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments while managing individual responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular activities.
  • Previous technical internship or co-operative experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI tools
  • Linux operating systems
  • Java, Scala, or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Angular or modern front-end frameworks
  • Git and modern software development practices
  • Apache Spark and large-scale data processing technologies
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools)
  • DevOps methodologies and automation
  • Security principles and secure software development practices

  • Contribute innovative ideas and challenge conventional thinking to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and deliver measurable business value through technology solutions.
  • Present project deliverables, recommendations, and outcomes to technical and executive audiences.
  • Participate in leadership development experiences, including mentoring, technical leadership, project coordination, and team leadership opportunities.
