Job Title: TDI Controls Specialist, AS
Location: Pune, India
Role Description
The Controls Specialist role will be part of the Technology Data and Innovation (TDI) Divisional Control Office (DCO) team which supports the TDI division in managing their divisional risks. TDI DCO’s mission is to continuously enhance an effective Non-Financial Risk Management Framework (NFRM) to support TDI’s priorities and strategy, leading to a stronger risk culture and improved control environment.
This role will focus on the oversight, governance and coordination of controls designed to primarily mitigate technology related risks. This includes coordinating with control design and operating owners to facilitate the creation of new controls, the recertification of those controls on a periodic basis and assessment of controls owned and / or operated by TDI. Strong stakeholder engagement across a broad stakeholder base is required for this role.
Additionally, the role would likely have exposure to the coordination of the logging of Events (materialised risk events) and of Lessons Learned exercises as they may pertain to control failures or control gaps.

Your key responsibilities
- Contributing to the continuing enhancement of the control standards for TDI and ensuring that new or amended controls align to those standards.
- Identification of control related metrics in cooperation with control owners within TDI and ensuring that they are published in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that all information relating to controls owned and / or operated by TDI, including relevant meta-data, is accurate and complete.
- Support the identification of control gaps pertaining to new control objectives as published by Risk Type Controllers.
- Coordination of control assessment activities for TDI, both on a dynamic and periodic basis.
- Coordination of the process which ensures that Events are logged in a timely manner and Lessons Learned are performed.

Competencies
- Ability to understand the control landscape and the linkages between controls and risk
- Good analytical skills and ability to oversee/structure complex tasks
- Influencing skills and persistence in driving process execution, especially with senior stakeholders
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex functional and technical content and dependencies into a language which can be understood by the relevant stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and flexibility to work autonomously coupled with ability to work in virtual teams and matrix/global organisations including appreciation of different cultures during collaborating and sharing.
- Feedback: Seeks feedback from others, provides feedback to others in support of their development, and is open and honest while dealing constructively with criticism
Knowledge & Experience
- Risk Management experience in the financial sector, especially on the management of non-financial risk in technology areas.
- Experience of reviewing controls, identifying and documenting gaps.
- Knowledge about technology services, including information technology, information security, data and records management.
- Experience in effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams and geographies.
