Summary
We are seeking to recruit an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our global tax team. The position, based in our Bedford, MA headquarters, will collaborate with senior leaders of the tax department to ensure tax technology goals and obligations are attained.
This individual will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced tax technology solutions, including tax software and automation systems, to optimize tax functions and enhance efficiency. Additionally, this individual will provide support for tax team members as they engage with the various tax technologies.
The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of technology and computing, a willingness to learn new systems and technology, a background in tax or accounting, and the desire to help drive innovation.
This role requires someone who genuinely enjoys identifying and driving process improvements and efficiency and is enthusiastic about being at the forefront of change.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively apply tax knowledge to identify opportunities to increase automation and enhance digital analytics and data quality using new and existing technologies.
- Support initiatives to develop modeling capabilities for new and/or changing information including tax impacts of forecast, new or proposed legislation, transactions, and new accounting guidance.
- Manage tax transformation projects to meet project timelines and achieve objectives.
- Support and maintain readiness for the tax department’s OneSource tax software system to enable ongoing use in the preparation of income tax provision deliverables.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and assistance to resolve issues and field questions related to tax technology and transformation matters.
- Develop, deliver end-user training, and maintain documentation for Tax technology solutions
- Participate and represent the tax department in cross-functional teams with internal partners for strategic initiatives, including ERP implementation and upgrade initiatives.
General Tasks
- Maintain strict compliance with the quality, environmental and occupational health and safety regulations and implementation of the instructions of the quality, environmental management and/or occupational health and safety officer.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
- Experience in a corporate income tax role.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERPs), preferable SAP.
- Experience with tax provision software platforms, preferable OneSource Tax Provision.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization platforms such as Alteryx and Power BI.
- 5+ years of experience in a tax environment that includes providing technical and application support as well as leading tax automation projects

- Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials
