We are looking for a Supervisor in our Private Client Services Tax (PCS) Department. As a Supervisor in PCS, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and review federal and state returns, extensions, and quarterly projections, focusing mainly on high-net-worth individuals, trust returns, and affiliated entities
- Interact closely with clients year round to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely manner
- Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing expectations, meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies
- Knowledge of Federal and State tax law
- Perform tax research to resolve issues
- Trains, develops and mentors junior staff
- Takes an active approach to building network (internal and external) and participates in Firm business development opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm
- CPA preferred
- Possess advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws – individual, trust, gifts, and partnership taxation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate strong client services skills
- Be highly motivated and able to work individually and in team settings
- Outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Sureprep, XCM and Caseware is a plus
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's in Taxation
- 5+ years professional tax experience (preferably in a mid-size public accounting firm)
- CPA
- Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws (individual, trust, gift, partnership taxation)
