DuPont is looking for a Tax Specialist, based in Mexico City. As Tax Specialist you will be responsible for provide support to the corporate tax strategy and provides tax advice to the business decisions and ongoing operations. Perform tax compliance to include the preparation and filing of U.S. direct and indirect and foreign taxes. Performs tax accounting to support the annual tax provision calculations and review of the consolidated financial statements. Identifies and manages corporate tax exposure and implements strategies to minimize the risk.

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​

• Owner of the VAT tax refund processes. This activity is performed together with an external advisor.
• Responsible for current and deferred tax determination and their correct entry in the accounting system. Reporting timely for U.S., analyzing, and explaining the differences.
• Responsible of expenses reclassifications in the tax accounts.
• Owner of the external audit process for several companies of the group.
• Full and timely tax compliance according with the current tax rules.
• Critical participation on the ending month closing for the taxes accounts.
• Management and administration of payments to suppliers that provide services to the tax area.
• Participation and support to tax opinion or dictamen fiscal.
• Tax accounts reconciliation against the statements submitted to the Tax Authority.
• Provide support to the unit business regarding billing process, according with the current tax legislation.
• Responsible to submit Tax filings, payments, reconciliations, tax assessments, notices and audits, defending company´s tax position, and making sure all processes are executed in alignment with SOX and internal control standards..

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting mandatory.
• Specialty, master's degree, or diploma in taxes desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax matters in firms or multinational companies.
• Experience with SAP or comparable system.
• Strong language skills: advanced English is required.
• Strong knowledge of the VAT refund process.
• Strong knowledge in CFDI version 4.0.
• Strong knowledge on the sat portal
